Where do I start? Well I need to start by mentioning that this is my first post using my absolutely incredibly powerful new 27" iMac Quad Core. This thing is craziness all packaged in one of the sleekest examples of engineering ingenuity. But how this beast came to sit in my office is another story...and an interesting one at that.

Late February I was expecting some clients to arrive for the closing of the purchase of their home. Their arrival time was early in the morning on a weekday and I had to tackle the Cerro de la Muerte at night in the fog only to have to return in the same evening/morning. I ended up returning to Perez Zeledon around 5am!

I've said it before and I will say it again, Ticos know how to throw a party!

This weekend I attended the Perez Zeledon Expo (I have attended every year actually), and what an amazing night.

Today was an adventurous day to say the least.

A few weeks ago we decided to go with some friends of ours from Canada, to visit the Nauyaca waterfalls (short distance from Dominical towards Perez Zeledon). After calling to find out the prices for all of us, I was surprised to find out that they had almost doubled the price of the horseback tours and when there was eight of us going...well let's just say it would have been an expensive day.

When it comes to fruit and vegetables in Costa Rica's Southern Zone, there really is only one place to go. Hermanos Mora in Perez Zeledon.

Covering most of the southern zone including Perez Zeledon and area, Hermanos Mora feature the largest selection of fresh produce at wholesale prices. So if you currently are buying your veggies anywhere else then you are paying a surplus. Within the inner circle of vendors throughout the area, Hermanos Mora are at the top of the pyramid when it comes to fresh produce. If they don't have what you are looking for, chances are they can get it for you. Just be sure to ask Juan Carlos for whatever you are in need of.

Today the whole fam packed up food and drink and hit the horse rally in Pedregoso, Perez Zeledon.

The event draws thousands of people and with the weather cooperating, the day was a scorcher. Ticos really get in to this "cowboy" thang...the guys all wear cowboy shirts and hats while the women...well the women...wear seriously high heeled boots with button up shirts tied up in the front making for some fabulous scenery for us Canucks drinkin beer on the grassy knoll.
