| Christmas time in Costa Rica |

Spent Christmas this year with family and friends. Really the only way to go isn't it? Xmas in Costa Rica is celebrated on the 24th rather than on Christmas Day, and the 25th is usually for just relaxing and digesting the previous evening comida. Skyler's first Xmas was amazing. It's all just as new to me as it is to him however we both had a riot and Skyler was spoiled rotten. The day of the 25th, we spent the afternoon swimming in the Diamante River, a river near where I live that is sourced from within an escarpment that is 900' tall and drops to the river below to form the tallest waterfall in Costa Rica, Santo Cristo aka Diamante. It was hot hot hot and the water was fresh fresh fresh...making for a great contrast. Skyler had another first as he bobbed around in the river in his floating walker/tube. Like a little tadpole. Shortly after the holidays I've got an old friend coming down from Canada that I haven't seen for sometime. Should be some fun times in CR. That Facebook sure is good for one thing...catching up and rediscovering old friends whom you've lost contact with through the years. So anyways...this summer is shaping up to be another all around fantastic Costa Rica summer so I'm off to enjoy it!
PS: I got a HD camcorder so I think I may start shooting some great HD video for the blog also. We'll have to see though. ;) Stay tuned. Tags: santo cristo diamante waterfall diamante river tinamastes san cristobal christmas in costa rica xmas in costa rica
